My favorite thing is when someone asks for a project to be SUPER EXTRA AF. Maximalism for liiiiife. This was an exciting project; creating an opulent, dark, ornamental full name logo and monogram for Erik Gustafson Cinematography. Not only is Erik a killer musician in bands such as Grendel and Adoration Destroyed, he's a talented cinematographer as well! Go check out his work.
Lettering artists like Mateusz Witczak and Martin Schmetzer are my biggest inspirations; their work is complex and ornamental, ultra-detailed, and often incorporates a monogram or separate design element within the entirety of their design system. This allows either the full name logo or just the monogram to be used depending on context and container size.
